I currently teach computer science at Frisco ISD and have been a teacher for five years. I enjoy learning new technology and developing new classes. This year I am teaching an innovative course titled Video Game Development. Next year I plan on teaching another new class on Mobile Applications Development.

Career and Leadership Goals

Throughout my time as a teacher I have noticed many different areas in education concerning technology integration where the process could be improved. This is the reason why I began my Masters in Technology Leadership. I believe that one of the greatest things we can do to help our students prepare for the future is to teach them using the latest tools, not yesterday’s leftovers. We have so many resources available that rarely get used, such as Web 2.0, open source, and learning communities.

My goal is to demonstrate, share, and encourage others by showing how helpful these tools can be. Within the next three years I want work at the district level with the technology facilitators to improve the integration of technology in all classrooms. To improve the quality of teaching methods by helping to integrating technology seamlessly into lesson plans. Students will be able to learn at a faster pace because they will be using tools they already use everyday and understand.
